As another day in Sweden is coming to an end, it is now time for a new post! Now I have been up to quite a bit today, as well as last night when I had Swedish meatballs that contained deer meat for dinner, which was quite interesting to try.
After that, I decided to go off on my own and wonder around the city of Stockholm a bit, to see what it is like in the evening!
The city can get quite a lot of people in the evenings
I also saw some cool cars
By around 10pm at night, I headed back to the hotel, and then about an hour later I had gone to bed.Â
When the next day came, we decided to go out for breakfast at a place called The Greasy Spoon! I of course ordered an eggs benedict, which is one of my favourite foods
By the time that was all done, we went back to the hotel. However, a few minutes later, it was time for me to start heading to the airport to go see my grandpa, who will be joining us for part of the trip! When I was on my way, I decided to go on a boat ride on the waters of Stockholm, and see the city from there. After that, I headed off to the central railway station, to catch the train to the airport.
Got a really good view, and the weather was quite nice!
The interior of the train. It was quite nice
One thing I think I should mention, is that this train is capeable of speeds of up to 200 km/h! Now I do know that it is quite normal for trains in Europe to be fast, but coming from New Zealand, this was something I was NOT used to.
After my grandpa arrived, we headed back to the hotel, checked him in, and then went out for dinner! We ended up going out for pasta for tonights dinner, which was really good! After that, I took both my mum and grandpa on the boat ride, so they too could see the city from the water!
Now before I conclude this post, I am very excited to announce that in just TWO DAYS from now, we will be meeting the Swedish womens football team, which is the part of the trip that I have sure been looking forward to for SO LONG now!
Until next time, this is Sylas, signing off!
