Well guys, after almost 19 months of waiting, it finally happened! At around 4:00PM on Monday the 2nd of June, 2025 (Tuesday 3rd at 2:00AM NZST), I got to meet the Swedish women's football team!!
But that is not all! Before I met the team, I got a bit of a tour of the arena, and even got to see the team do their training! Unfortunately, due to the fact that this was a closed training, I am unable to show photos as of now, but I have been told that I will be allowed to post them tomorrow. Therefore, I should have photos from the training posted by then. For now, here is some photos from the tour of the stadium!

Since I was likely the first NZer to travel all that distance to meet the womens Swedish football team, of course I had to bring some very kiwi things. We brought Whittakers chocolate (Big shoutout to them, as they donated a box of 48 sante bars for us to bring) as well as a few bags of pineapple lumps too

One thing about the chocolates is that everyone really liked them! Apparently the Whittakers chocolate is very well liked by anyone not from New Zealand who has tried it. Yes, us kiwis seem to make really good chocolates.Â
Despite all this awesomeness that unfolded today, there is still more to come! Tommorow is the day of the football game, where Sweden will be playing against Denmark! This will be kicking off at 7:30PM on Tuesday 3rd of June, 2025 (5:30AM on the 4th, NZST)!
